clinic, also known as
HealthConnect in Our Schools,
will be open from 8AM-4:30PM
and is located in the main
office building. Some of the
many services we provide
throughout the school year
are: |

• Immunizations that kids
need for school attendance and
compliance
(*including the tetanus booster that is required for ALL 7th Grade
students!) • Primary care
for uninsured students with no
access to health care •
Diagnosing and treating your
child’s illnesses •
Prescribing medications for your
child • Ordering blood work,
x-rays, & other tests •
In-school, same-day, urgent care
treatment of your child’s acute
illnesses • Follow-up care
in school • Chronic disease
management • Referrals for
your child to go to a specialist
• Connecting your child to a
primary provider and/or
insurance • Expanded
screening assessments •
Mental and behavioral health
services

HealthConnect in
our Schools
is a joint partnership of The Children’s
Trust, Miami-Dade County Public Schools,
& The Miami-Dade County Health
Department. The goal of HealthConnect
is to have the healthiest children
possible in Miami-Dade County with plans
to include a clinic like ours in every
public school by the year 2011!
